  我們的研究主題主要是在疾病的病程發展中探討免疫反應的發生與調控,進而發展特異性的免疫療法。我們的研究目標包括:

1. To determine how priming of the antigen-specific T-cells occurs.

2. To investigate and retune the regulatory defect of such T cells.

3. To develop high efficacy immunotherapy.

      除了致力於了解免疫反應參與或調控致病機制外,我們也藉由檢測免疫反應相關的調控型T細胞、第十七型幫助型T細胞以及其訊息分子,做為監測疾病惡化或治療療效的評估準則。例如利用ELISA, Flow cytometry, real-time RT-PCR來檢測細胞激素、免疫細胞族群或其他基因分子表現等(目前主要著重在自體免疫疾病)。在深入了解免疫反應的發生與調控上,我們也利用病毒及非病毒載體送入相關因子,來探究其對免疫反應之影響,並發展分子影像,以利研發更有效的疫苗及免疫療法來對抗疾病。
